Moreover, for such purchases, today there are all the necessary tools, and almost everyone has the opportunity to easily order goods from Europe, China or America.
We also decided to keep up with popular trends in comparing foreign prices with Russian ones. Having formed for you a number of comparative examples of domestic gold jewelry and their analogues from the USA.
And it is worth saying that the difference in the cost of jewelry is really impressive!
But first things first.
Comparing jewelry prices in America with the cost of jewelry in our country turned out to be a very difficult task . In the USA, it is customary to make jewelry to order and there are not as many finished products presented in the mass segment as we would like. But we need not only to find the first product that comes across, but to choose one that would have an analogue in our jewelry stores.
Also, the pricing policy in online stores is not always clear. In some cases, the price is indicated excluding taxes , while in others it already includes all possible additional expenses. It’s not easy to figure out which one is which. There are often no explanations on the websites about this.
However, we still managed to pick up a few identical items, based on which we can understand where gold jewelry costs 5 times more.

The ring of the Russian manufacturer , at the time of this writing, was sold with a very impressive price tag of 400,491 rubles. Which, in principle, is not much, for a piece of jewelry with a real gemstone of this size (0.9 carats) and the highest quality cut corresponding to class “A”.
The American analogue cost 3,700 dollars, which, translated into our currency, amounted to about 280,621 rubles. The difference of almost 119 870r is not small. Especially if you look superficially.
But, as it turned out, you need to add a tax to this price tag, which in the USA, depending on the district, can range from 18% to 25%, and the price on the website is indicated without taking it into account.
With tax included, the price difference no longer seems so rosy. And if we take into account the fact that in the American store there is no information about the purity or quality of the cut of a precious stone, then such a “low” cost may even turn out to be overpriced.
Diamond prices all over the world are formed according to a single principle and it is unlikely that we will be higher, unless the pebble is better in its unique characteristics.
Therefore, we will assume that the prices for expensive jewelry with good diamonds maintain conditional parity and plus or minus are in the same range.

But the situation that has developed with the “affordable” jewelry of the mass segment is really amazing.
We found two very similar engagement rings from sellers in the US and Russia.
In a domestic store, for a pink gold engagement ring, they ask for ridiculous 5999 rubles.

But for the same ring in the jewelry store Amigold (USA) they are already demanding 24 thousand 270 rubles (320 dollars). And that’s without taxes!
The cost of an ordinary jewelry from the mass segment turned out to be almost 5 times higher in the USA than a similar product in Russia. And we have found many such examples.
As a result, the following can be said about the price of gold jewelry in America: since the buyer there is better off than in our country and there is no large shortage of demand for jewelry in the States, jewelry for the mass segment is more expensive there.
But in the segment of expensive jewelry with good gemstones, for which the price is formed based on the characteristics of a diamond, conditional parity remains.
